150803-N-SU278-260 JAVA SEA (Aug. 3, 2015) – Marines assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, from Hawaii, launch combat rubber-raiding craft (CRRC) boats from the amphibious dock landing ship USS Germantown (LSD 42), during a beach storming exercise as part of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Indonesia 2015. In it’s 21st year, CARAT is an annual, bilateral exercise series with the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps and the armed forces of nine partner nations including Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Timor-Leste.
