190823-N-TP834-1094 SANTA RITA, Guam (Aug. 23, 2019) Marines assigned to 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion, 3rd Marine Division and Marines assigned to 3rd Marine Division, Explosive Ordnance Disposal 1st Platoon assist HMNZS Matataua operators with scoring their targets during a weapons familiarization live-fire demonstration as part of Exercise Hydracrab. Hydracrab is quadrilateral exercise conducted by forces from Australia, Canada, New Zealand and U.S. naval forces. The purpose of this exercise is to prepare the participating explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) forces to operate as an integrated, capable and potent allied force ready to respond to a changing and complex maritime environment in the Indo-Pacific region.
