Paul Pearigen, commander, Navy Medicine West, and chief of the Navy Medical Corps, sits inside an air ambulance at Erlanger Health System’s Baroness Hospital while visiting during Navy Week Chattanooga. During a tour of the hospital, Pearigen learned more about Erlanger’s medical capabilities, which is the region’s only level I trauma center.
