The purpose of the outbreak investigation is to enhance the Navy’s understanding of the outbreak, inform future COVID-19 decisions and guidance, influence future testing strategies and operational planning, and provide COVID-19 mitigation measures to ensure mission readiness of the Theodore Roosevelt and other Navy assets. Theodore Roosevelt is in Guam for a scheduled port visit for resupply and crew rest during their scheduled deployment to the Indo-Pacific.
